Hopefully you've made it through to the campaign section and you aren't too confused yet ^_^ Luckily you've just found the good stuff, exactly what you're going to be doing!
All Bubblegum Crisis RPGs will work along the same lines. All the players will go through some degree of training before the game starts properly so as to know how the system works and how to write good posts from a technical point. You'll also get chance to meet quite a few of the characters from Bubblegum Crisis and AD Police, depending on who instructs you!
Hopefully you won't get Priss, she tends to be a bit short-tempered when she's trying to tell people stuff!
Priss: "Hey! I resent that! I have lots of patience, just not for most things!"
Nene: "That's the honest truth!"
Priss: "Was I asking you Little Miss Cyberpunk? I'll give you this advice for free, lay off the cheesecake unless you want to end up with Nene's ever thickening waistline."
