Mark Carver is a well
known journalist for the Horizon Media Group, able
to present TV, radio and newspaper reports with equal ability. He's
fanatical about getting a scoop, often working undercover to reveal what
people don't want him to see. Mike will do almost anything to get the
story, even if it sometimes means he gets into hot water!
Of course, this slightly
obsessive behaviour has a slightly detrimental
effect on the rest of his life: he's disorganised and (except when
presenting the news) always looks slightly harried. His tendancy to
panic slightly under stress isn't as bad as it may seem: often he seems
to do the right thing anyway!
Of course, none of this shows up on camera...
Mike has made a number
of enemies over the years: people he has exposed
through his news reports for anything from fraud to illegal genetic
manipulation to arms dealing.
Although he has a
plethora of various cameras and other recording
devices that he always carries around with him the best is unseen: he
has an implant chip that records everything hs sees and hears. This
often comes in particularly useful for undercover assignments, where
it's undetectable by anything short of an X-ray scan.
His latest assignment
is to do a series of editorials on the work of the
AD Police in New York - although if they turn out to be completely
inept, he'll just as happily condem them as congratulate them on
prime-time news!
